Tommy was placed with Second Home when he was just 3 months old. Tommy was born drug addicted and spent his 1st 3 months in the hospital. His mother had a significant history for drug abuse, mental health issues and homelessness. Tommy stayed with Second Home for 16 months then was adopted by a loving family.

The children and youths served by Second Home range in age from birth to 21 years. A majority of the children are emotionally disturbed. We also serve children who may be medically fragile, developmentally delayed or have other specialized needs.
Thanks to Second Home I have a good family life. I'm in a very good school and I will have a chance to have a successful life where I will be able to help someone else like me that didn't have a chance in life until Second Home stepped in and helped. Thank you Second Home.
Second Home taught me that I can do whatever I want to if I put my mind to it.
I'm back with mom and dad and you were very helpful.
Second Home helped me when needed.
I never want to be in foster care again but if so I would love to come back with Second Home.
I miss Second Home activities.

Jamie and Shawn were placed with Second Home after Jamie had been beaten by his father. Jamie and Shawn's father is an alcoholic and has a long history of domestic violence. After mom got the help she needed to become independent Jamie and Shawn were returned to their mother's care. Today Jamie, Shawn and their mother are doing great.
